Russian violinist Natalia Lomeiko plays repertoire that is particularly close to her heart: Tchaikovsky’s glorious Violin Concerto alongside his evocative Souvenir d’un lieu cher (Memory of a dear place), poignant Sérénade mélancolique and sunny Valse-Scherzo. For this latest recording, Natalia Lomeiko collaborates with the Russian State Symphony Orchestra and conductor Valery Polyansky. Natalia Lomeiko’s extensive and varied career as a soloist, concertmaster and chamber musician feeds into her richly nuanced interpretations of Tchaikovsky’s soaring melodies and dazzling virtuosity. Lomeiko has worked with the late Yehudi Menuhin, among many others, and brings her unique experience and insight to the performances on this album.
