"Each of the concertos on the present CD has its specific characteristics. The concerto W q. 11 is the manifestation of the new piano style. The passages that the soloist plays alone become more important. Wq.43/4 is, despite its shortness, the first four-movement piano concerto in the history of music. The four movements follow each other seamlessly. The concerto Wq.24 reveals a predominantly lyrical mood with song-like intervals. The composer did not envisage a cadenza for the soloist.
