The performances of Janáček’s very rarely heard three-movement Pohádka and of Brahms’s first Sonata, in E minor, are very fine indeed. Kolarova’s characterful account of Janáček’s Piano Sonata. ‘From the Street’, such an original masterpiece is so well played. The recording quality, as always from this company, is first –class in every respect. A most worthwhile issue.
