About

This compilation gathers recording extracts from this edition plus two newly recorded pieces: Les Chemins de l’amour and Rustique from Sonata for four hands.

Gabriel Tacchino is a French pianist, pupil of Jacques Février and Francis Poulenc – in fact he was Poulenc’s only pupil. He has concerts and master classes all over the world – especially in China, Japan, France and Switzerland. He became a specialist of Poulenc’s piano music – among other repertoires – and recorded a landmark complete piano works by Poulenc for EMI between 1966 and 1985. Gabriel Tacchino is releasing this compilation “to popularise these magnificent works, while still doing justice to the mixture of frivolity and seriousness”
