About
Two major works feature on this, the penultimate volume to this revelatory series. The Symphony was retain in its original version and demonstrates how he dealt with a great form of organ music in the early 20th century. He said of its conception “ first I wanted to call the monstosity a Sonata but the title would not describle adequately the work’s orchestral aspects. “ Seven Pastels portray Karg-Elert’s love of nature and his essential source of inspiration for these evocative pieces.
