About
American composer Kevin Raftery’s work is thoroughly modern, without classical limitations, but also lyrical, tuneful, dramatic and serene. The three ensembles featured are all celebrated in their own right: The Heath Quartet have appeared at the BBC Proms, and Carnegie Hall, and the Berkeley Ensemble and Animare Ensemble were both formed to explore modern chamber music as well as more traditional material, employing some of the UK’s top musicians.
