About
Hermann’s Clarinet Quintet and Echoes Quartet are elegiac works of immediate melodic appeal. Their romantic style is eclectic, akin to Hermann’s classical compositions for larger forces, but their lack of aggressive 'modernity' produces memorable twentieth-century pieces of expressive writing.
