Ana Sokolović is recognized as one of Canada’s foremost composers, and has earned many prizes for her popular, wide-ranging, and highly successful works. This recording focuses on the poetry and humor of her instrumental music. Three works bear the traces of Sokolović’s Balkan roots, while transcending purely traditional folklore.
