About
Valentini lived during the late Baroque era, which is interesting because there is a subtle classical prevalence in his music which differs so much from other Italian Baroque composers. His concerti grossi are absolutely spendid.

Valentini, nicknamed 'Little Ragamuffin', delighted in the unexpected. These six concertos, though fundamentally 'Corellian', tease and surprise at every turn, and Ensemble 415 respond enthusiastically. A delightfully distinctive rarity.
