About
Johannes Brahms was conductor and composer of grand symphonies as well as of demanding chamber and folk music. Furthermore, he acted as juror at competitions, friend, advisor and, in one case at least, as teacher.
This CD gathers a few well-known and, at the same time, even more unknown contemporaries of Brahms and presents selected choral works penned by them.
