On this release, Trio Dauphine offers listeners a fascinating glimpse into the salon of composer Jean-Benjamin de Laborde (1734-1794) with a selection of enchanting songs of the period. Joined by young soprano Maïlys de Villoutreys, the group performs works written specifically for harpsichord, violin and harp ensemble by Laborde, Petrini and Forqueray. Also featured here is a recording of the Deuxième Concert of Jean-Philippe Rameau, where you can savour the unique timbre of two plucked instruments, harp and harpsichord, blended together in perfect harmony.
