About
Soprano Gitta-Maria Sjöberg and husband composer Matti Borg are here joined by other ‘seasonal’ musicians in a selection of songs from the Nordic countries all about either the long, cold and dark winter days or the magic and joy of Christmas. The CD has all the texts with full translation and the arrangements are all done by Matti Borg. This is a release not only to be enjoyed during the cosy “Yule” season, but will make all the cold winter evenings glow with wonderful memories and relaxing hours.

This is an attractive release that features a largely unknown repertoire, at least to listeners outside Scandinavia. It is beautifully arranged, exquisitely sung by Gitta-Maria Sjöberg, finely accompanied by the musicians and well-presented as a disc.
