About
Witold Lutosławski’s composition, written in the shadow of a great tradition and Paweł Mykietyn’s music, written after Lutosławski, demonstrates the continued pertinence of the quartet as a musical genre. The two quartets sound both like a reply to the banal, yet challenging question “What now?” They are both at their most intriguing when listened to in this manner!
