Filmed in one of the most prestigious concert halls: the Gold concert hall of the Musikverein in Vienna, this is volume one in a cycle of concerts by the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, under Vladimir Fedoseyev. The programme of the concerts includes Symphonies No. 2, 4, 8 by Beethoven and Symphonies No. 4, 5, 6 and 'Manfred' by Tchaikovsky. The Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra headed by its artistic director and chief conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev was the first of the Russian orchestras invited to perform on this famous stage. The tour in 2005 when the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra performed five days running in Musikverein was called triumphal.
