As the title says this is a very unusual CD. For a start it contains a world premiere recording of Manuel de Falla’s early cello & piano pieces - a very special and romantic start. Then the vast Villa-Lobos second Sonata , very difficult to find in any CD catalogue. A world premiere by avant garde Spanish composer Seco de Arpe. Finally music by Tansman, mainly known for his guitar music but here we have a rare opportunity to discover more about his beautiful compositions.
