The Chamber works on this CD by Julian Dawes demonstrate the wide-ranging and varied output from this composer. Sonata for violin and piano received its UK première at the Wigmore Hall in 2006 and is here played by the virtuoso violinist Matthew Trusler. Other artists on this CD include Gemma Rosefield, Gordon Back, Stephen Stirling and Emma Johnson. Julian Dawes has written scores for The Royal court, The Lyric Theatre, Bristol Old Vic and for Brecht’s Caucasian Chalk Circle and Edward II both are the recognized scores by the Brecht Estate in Berlin.
