About
This little known French composer was born in Versailles. He was on the brink of a promising career when he died of tuberculosis at the age of 24. His quartets are in the four movement structure which he inherited from Haydn and anticipate later contrapuntal developments. These musicians are leading string players from Montreal and use period instruments.
