Eccard was one of the leading sacred composers around 1600 and even today his works are found in well-known collections of Protestant church music. This CD honours the 400th anniversary of his death and includes his most important choral works and his only existing mass.

Maria Jürgensen keeps everything moving along. Despite lasting just under an hour, this delightful disc really is a gem.
