CD Review 17th October 2015

Tabea Zimmermann achieves these whirling arabesques effortlessly, and she and Kirill Gerstein transform the atmosphere with deft economy as Debussy’s ghost materialises in a mournful second subject … there was only one duo who gave it the scale of performance it truly deserves, who hooked me from the start and wouldn’t let go. Here is Clarke’s sonata in saturated colour and with mesmerising focus.

November 2010

Zimmermann's performance is masterly, strongly characterised in the positive first movement and the witty Scherzo [of the Clarke]...[In the Vieuxtemps] too Zimmermann and Gerstein give an ideal performance. Recording of all three works is excellent, a credit to this new label.

March 2011

Zimmermann and Gerstein allow the music (Brahms) to unfold naturally in a gentle, autumnal account.
