The Insieme Strumentale di Roma of Giorgio Sasso is, without any doubt, the most elegant and refined among the old music Italian ensembles. Awarded by the international critic (Diapason, BBC Music Magazine, Goldberg…), its notoriety deserves to grow still more. That’s why Fuga Libera is happy to welcome it in its catalogue, after several beautiful productions have been published by the Stradivarius label. For this new beginning, the marvellous Raffaella Milanesi is invited to take part in the adventure. Her recent appearances in leading roles under the direction of Christophe Rousset, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Alessandro de Marchi or Marc Minkowski have seduced all the fans of beautiful voices. Along with discovering her, we are invited to participate in a passionate exploration of the Neapolitan repertoire of the mid-18th century, notably with two splendid cantatas from Leo and Porpora, presented in a world premiere recording.
