About
Tobias Koch combines the familiar with works which have never been heard before. He includes Album for the Young Op.68 and the world premiere recording of Birthday Album for Marie. With each succeeding track, listeners find themselves more and more captivated with the wonderful miniatures and with Tobias Koch’s transparent tone on historical pianos from Schubert’s lifetime: a Johann Baptist Streicher (Wien 1847) and an Ignace Pleyel & Cie., (Paris 1844).
