About

The four works on this disc represent the culmination of Foss’s long period of experimentation. Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird is one of his masterworks. The String Quartet No.3 (1976) is his most extreme composition and has been described as a “minimalist Grosse Fugue” .The main feature of Music for Six is that any six instruments can play it. Curriculum Vitae is written for virtuoso accordionist.
