This is evidently the American pianist William Wolfram's second contribution [to the Naxos Liszt series], and it is strikingly good. He clearly has all the necessary technique to confront any challenge Liszt's piano writing throws at him, and even in music whose overriding purpose is to show off, never seems facile or bombastic.
