About
Following his critically acclaimed Claves release ‘Metamorphonse(n)’ – cat.no 502905, Joseph Moog focuses his attention to contrasting worlds of the first half of the 20th century. The young German pianist presents rare works by Jongen, Reger & Scriabin with the booklet notes comparing the three in a most interesting way - “French spirit, German soul and Russian Mysticism,” all in all, an intriguing combination.

Joseph Moog, still only 21, is bristling with talent and assurance...[He] takes us to Scriabin's perfumed, exotic world with cohesive and powerful readings of the Fourth and Seventh Sonatas played with unerring precision and exhilarating abandon...Another impressive disc from a name to watch.
