About
This programme celebrating the recent compositions of John Ellis opens with a set of variations on the French seventeenth century melody Picardy (2005). Written in the first few months of 2009, the Organ Symphony completes this programme. In these four movements, all the elements of Dr Ellis’ skills are combined to create a modern giant in the twenty-first century English organ repertoire. The disc features the organ at Bolton Parish Church.
