About
Gifted from a young age, Jean-Michel Damase (b.1928) was only nine years old when Colette wrote three poems for him and for which he composed music to accompany them. He studied music under the personal direction of Alfred Cortot and by the age of fifteen had received the first of many prizes for composition. Damase has a fluid and easy writing style, one that charms with lightness and ease, all so evident in this enchanting new from Rachel Talitman.
