The complete recording of Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic opera ‘Iolanthe’, which been unavailable for the last two years and is now being released at mid price. Iolanthe is their ‘fairy opera’ of 1882, which opened at The Savoy Theatre and was the first production in a theatre with electricity anywhere in the world. It satirises many aspects of the British government and the laws of the era. This release also includes a number of Bonus Tracks from the Gilbert and Sullivan Ballet ‘Thespis’.
