Das Spitzentuch der Königin (The Queen’s Lace Handkerchief) is one of Johann Strauss II’s more obscure operettas and is rarely performed.

CPO is collaborating with the Dresden State Operetta to create the New Johann Strauss Complete Edition. Other operettas that will be recorded for CPO include Der Carneval in Rom (Carnival in Rome) and Prinz Methusalem (Prince Methusalem).
