Two great sopranos for a collection of Vivaldi's Sacred Motets. Of the approximately 50 works of sacred music which have come down to us, Claudio Astronio has chosen to bring together the works that, in his opinion, include the influence of opera in the use of solo voices; the relation of the stringed instruments in the modern concertato style as in his most famous instrumental works; the double choir and the double orchestra, almost as if he wished to recall the ancient Venetian practice of antiphonal psalmody.
