Few composers are as strongly associated with a single piece of music as Johan Helmich Roman with the first movement of his famous Drottningholm Music. This CD seeks to present various aspects of Roman’s music – orchestral works, solo pieces and chamber music. Included here is of course the first movement from Drottningholm Music. REBaroque was formed in 1998 under the name of The Stockholm Baroque Orchestra, and was quickly established as one of Sweden’s leading baroque ensembles. Led by concert master Maria Lindal, REBaroque’s trademark is modern and innovative musicianship, successfully transcending musical boundaries. Based in Sweden, REBaroque is active internationally, and has performed in countries such as Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Finland, Norway, the U.K. and Lebanon.
