About
The works on the CD Secret Melodies have exquisite poetic titles that could make anyone dream. At the same time this is music whose execution demands players equal to the challenge, with the major work Achilles and the Tortoise as one of the absolute pianistic trials of strength in contemporary music. But above all Nørgård’s music – at once esoteric and organic – offers experiences of a kind that seems to defy time and place.
