Savour the spiritual atmosphere of Christmas in the Holy Land. These recordings of chant, reading, and bells from churches in Jerusalem, Nazareth, and Jaffa cover the spectrum of ancient Eastern and Western Christian musical traditions.

The recordings were made in the Church of the Nativity at Bethlehem, in the chapel of the Regensburg Convent at Jerusalem, in the sacristy of the Greek Orthodox Seminary at Jerusalem, the Abyssinian Church at Jerusalem, the Church of the Annunciation at Nazareth, St. James's Cathedral of the Armenian Convent at Jerusalem, the Coptic Church at Jerusalem, St. Mark's Church of the Syrian Convent at Jerusalem, and in the Maronite Church at Jaffa.
