David Pyatt was only 20 or so when these recordings were made in the mid 1990s… His playing is musical and easily virtuosic - qualities on display in all these works, three of which were originally written for Dennis Brain.

Think of this as part of Dennis Brain’s legacy...it’s to David Pyatt’s immense credit that he’s able to follow in Brain’s footsteps, absolutely equal to the demands...This isn’t a reissued recording. It was made in the mid-90s, but it’s never been released until now...The recording is Lyrita at its best: warmly welcoming
