Music & Arts

The Music & Arts label originated in California during the 1980s, specialising in historical recordings of live performances and broadcasts. It started to release its own newly recorded classical and jazz CDs in 1989 and continues to do so today. Music & Arts earned international acclaim through premiere recordings of works by John Cage, Elliott Carter, Aaron Copland and other 20th century American composers, alongside previously unreleased archive recordings of artists including Claudio Arrau, Edwin Fischer and Otto Klemperer.
