Innova Recordings was founded in 1982, as a way to document winners of the McKnight Composer Fellowship. Innova continues to focus on recording contemporary music encompassing diverse genres, concepts and approaches - from debut recordings of original works, to long out-of-print classics and definitive career retrospectives. Exploratory new music sits alongside modern twists on traditional music and field recordings from across the globe; albums have been nominated for (and won) Pulitzer, Grammy and Emmy awards.
