Laurence Equilbey
Laurence Equilbey was born in 1962 and studied in London, Vienna and Paris, forming the Accentus chamber choir in 1991 and the Insula orchestra in 2012; she has also worked regularly with groups including Café Zimmermann, Concerto Köln, the Salzburg Mozarteumorchester and the Akademie für alte Musik Berlin.
Her discography includes a Gramophone Award-nominated Fauré Requiem, Gounod’s Saint Francois d'Assise, Mozart’s Requiem, Vesperae solennes de confessore and Coronation Mass, Gluck’s Orfeo, and several discs of choral transcriptions (all with Accentus), plus Beethoven’s Fourth and Fifth Piano Concertos with Nicholas Angelich and the Triple Concerto with Alexandra Conunova, Natalie Clein & David Kadouch.
