Gao Ping is a Chinese composer and professor of composition at Chinese University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen School of Music. He taught composition at the Conservatory of Music at Capital Normal University in Beijing, the University of Canterbury, New Zealand School of Music (Wellington), and University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand.
