Obituary, 2022 Goodbyes

A short video-tribute to some of the artists and creatives who died in 2022, including composers Sir Harrison Birtwistle, Ned Rorem and George Crumb, pianists Radu Lupu, Lars Vogt and Nicholas Angelich, and singers Teresa Berganza, Maria Ewing and Josephine Veasey.

The music is Schubert's Impromptu No. 3 in G flat D. 899, recorded by Radu Lupu in 1982.

Chris grew up in London and studied cello from the age of 5. He never did enough practice to get really good at it, but caught a passion for Classical music which would stick with him forever. He has wide ranging musical tastes, still plays Chamber music and particularly loves Mahler.
