The impact of Bach on successive generations of composers would be hard to overstate – something that Francisco Fullana embraces in the title of his latest album, ‘Bach’s Long Shadow’. Fullana traces the lines of inheritance from Bach, via Ysaÿe down to Kreisler; we spoke to him about the similarities and differences between the works he’s recorded on this album, and the experience of playing Kreisler on Kreisler’s own instrument.
