Igor Levit records BachSony have just confirmed that former BBC New Generation Artist Igor Levit is in the studio setting down JS Bach's Partitas BWV 825–830. Recently crowned Newcomer of the Year at the 2014 BBC Music Magazine Awards, Levit's debut solo disc of the late Beethoven piano sonatas won widespread critical acclaim and prompted The Telegraph to hail him as 'the finest pianist of his generation'.

The two-CD set will be released later this year: more details when we have them!
