Announcement,
Give Back Friday 2024
As November draws to a close, we're thrilled to announce the return of our fifth annual Give Back Weekend here at Presto Music. Instead of joining the Black Friday frenzy, we're proud to uphold our tradition of dedicating this time to make a meaningful difference.
From the 29th November to the end of 2nd December (UK time), we'll be donating 5% of all revenue to three incredible charities that align with our passion for music and its power to transform lives. You can find out more about these organisations below.
If you are planning to treat yourself or a loved one to new recordings, books, sheet music, or instruments, this weekend is the perfect opportunity to shop with purpose and make a positive impact.
Making Music is proud to partner with Presto Music for this year’s Give Back Friday, helping us champion and support the UK's vibrant network of leisure-time music groups. As the UK’s membership organisation for over 4,000 music groups, we are committed to providing resources, tools, and inspiration to empower ensembles to thrive. From advocacy to expert guidance, Making Music helps groups overcome challenges like audience development, financial sustainability and recruiting new members, enabling them to create lasting connections through music.
London Youth Choirs is a charity working to transform young lives through singing. Our aim is to combine musical excellence and social change: through our 10 choirs for ages 7-23, and free programmes in schools, we help thousands of young Londoners each year access the joys and benefits of singing. We particularly work to improve access for disadvantaged young people, supporting them to find their unique voice and to thrive through music.
Orchestra of the Swan, under the Artistic Direction of David Le Page, strives to captivate audiences through a blend of experimentation with both classical and non-classical music, embracing their role as storytellers. Their commitment to being distinctive drives them to push creative boundaries, offering performances that are both innovative and unique. They work with outstanding collaborators and international soloists, focussing on melding their unique orchestral sound with folk, jazz and world music, making ‘orchestral’ music more accessible to a wider audience, whilst celebrating the art of storytelling with fabulous world-class narrators.
Thank you for helping us make a difference,
From all of the team at Presto Music
