Naoumoff was born in Sofia in 1962. His career as a pianist and composer began at the age of eight; He was a student of Nadia Boulanger for ten years until her death. The sonata for flute and piano by Emile Naoumoff consists of five movements, leading to a toccata. The composition is a compulsory piece at the Ferdinand W. Neess International Flute Competition 2024 in Wiesbaden.

Sibelius was a major force in the Finnish national movement and many of his works were inspired by the music and the culture of his homeland. Fulvio Caldini presents a lovely little solo for oboe and piano by Donizetti. It is possible that this virtuoso piece was conceived as part of a sonata. Although the completion of the fragmentary accompaniment goes far beyond the usual duties of an editor, Caldini has mastered this task with knowledgeability and an unerring sense of style.
