After decades working and performing alongside some of the industry's most respected artists, guitarist/singer/composer David Rhodes (Peter Gabriel's guitarist-of-choice) steps into the spotlight with his debut solo album 'Bittersweet' - a dramatic ten-song collection of rock songs with World music undertones fuelled by his incendiary electric guitar and riveting vocals. David Rhodes has played guitar with some of the greatest musicians of our time. He is best known for his longtime association and collaboration with Peter Gabriel, but he has also added his sparse, elegant guitar style to albums by artists as diverse as Paul McCartney, Joan Armatrading and Roy Orbison. He was also a significant contributor to the music of Vitamin Z and Talk Talk. Bittersweet was recorded at Real World Studios and features some of Davids most tried and trusted musician friends, including drummer Ged Lynch (Peter Gabriel, Black Grape), bassist Charlie Jones (Robert Plant), keyboard player Dean Brodrick (Empty Boat, LMC - London Musicans Collective), and cameo appearances from Peter Hammill on backing vocals. Personnel: David Rhodes (vocals), Dean Brodrick (keyboards), Charlie Jones (bass), Ged Lynch (drums), Tosca String Quartet (arranged by Stephen Barber)
