The Requiem for a Young Poet, ‘a lingual for speakers, soprano and bass soli, three choirs, orchestra, jazz combo, organ, and electronic sounds, to texts from various poets, features and news reports,’ is the masterpiece composer Bernd Alois Zimmermann (1918-1970). This huge piece has been recorded in superb SACD sound. A very special project from Cybele Records and a very exciting release.
