A piece written for a large symphony orchestra and mixed choir. It was concisely described by Bohdan Pociej: ''The form - very compact, continuous; the tectonics and internal design - strikingly simple; the musical focus at a maximum; the effect - powerful, moving. The new vision (although at the same time, one deeply rooted in tradition) of the old hymn emerges from the clear rhythm - ''military'' or knightly a dotted rhythm, implying a march; it grows, becoming more powerful. Two formulae govern the motion (or rhythm) of the entire piece: the dotted rhythm and a measured movement with regular rhythmic values. The basic principles of development of this form are - growing, elementary contrast, repetition.
