A great fan of Minsky's previous compositions for cello, I was thrilled to see these 10 new pieces for solo cello. Minsky, who began his career as a rock guitarist before studying cello, has created an exciting style of modern cello playing which has its roots in American rock, pop, jazz, and blues . . . The pieces are well set out on the page with clear and effective bowings and fingering.
