Piano Duets

Piano Duets

Piano Duets are for two players at one piano as opposed to our ‘Two Pianos’ section which use two pianos. The piano duet came into popularity in the second half of the 18th Century. Mozart wrote a number of piano duets for four hands at one piano, as did Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Antonín Dvořák, Edvard Grieg, Claude Debussy, Igor Stravinsky, and Béla Bartók. In addition to this, many tutor methods and beginner books are available for four hands including ‘Piano Time’ , ‘Up-Grade’ and ‘After Hours’.
