For this new edition, editor Jonathan Del Mar has analysed Dvorák’s autograph and the score that was published by Simrock at the end of 1881. For the first time in an Urtext edition, the parts of the first edition, whose readings are revealing in view of the lost manuscript parts of the premiere, were evaluated.

This newly revised and corrected performing edition of the complete four-act ballet Romeo and Juliet captures many corrections gathered over the years from conductors and music librarians and includes newly-engraved orchestral parts (available for hire). Russian conductor Vladimir Jurowski was responsible for reviewing the full score before publication.
