The Lyric Pieces for Piano op. 74 were written at the suggestion of the publishing house Breitkopf & Härtel, for whom Jean Sibelius was to compose five piano pieces. Sibelius was allowed to send the pieces individually as they were completed, but by July 1914, only four pieces had been finalized. Thus, opus 74 was published in December 1914 without the fifth piece.

Grieg’s Haugtussa Song Cycle Op. 67 is one of the masterpieces of his song oeuvre. This edition was created in collaboration with Kode Bergen and the Haugtussa Collective and includes introductory texts, literal translations, and pronunciation guides.

Among Beethoven’s violin sonatas, the ‘Spring Sonata’ is probably the best known. Composed around 1800, it received its famous nickname much later. This edition is based on the first edition authorized by Beethoven and on the autograph of the first three movements respectively.

The 24 scales through two octaves in Volume 1 briefly and clearly summarize the basics of playing scales on the cello. Volume 2 is a bit more challenging: 16 duets in neck positions give a rich insight into various aspects of cello technique in both parts: in addition to pizzicato and harmonics, syncopations and trills are also practiced.
