George Gershwin

George Gershwin was born in Brooklyn in 1898. By the age of fifteen he had a job as a ‘song plugger’, which involved playing the latest sheet music for potential customers. His compositions focused as much on classical traditions as jazz, and he composed a number of Broadway theatre works with his brother Ira Gershwin and with Buddy DeSylva.

Easy - Intermediate Pieces
